friday night santa came for an early visit to the park near our house. there were a lot of people in line to see him and give him last minute wishes so we decided to sit in his sleigh instead! it was a perfectly chilly evening and the event included warm cider and a chorus of children so it really got us in the christmas spirit. afterward we went for a drive to see the christmas lights in nearby neighborhoods. one of our favorite houses has a train in their front yard complete with sound effects and a village! ava calls it the "christmas train" and could have watched it all night!
