back in the day, preston and i were absolutely unable to discuss unc v. duke basketball...much less watch games together. with the birth of eli, we have had to make allowances and watch games together this week. i believe we have matured a great deal because we've done alright so far (even though things didn't go so well for my tarheels yesterday). it probably helps that we've been a bit distracted. i'm also rushing through this blog so i can finish before the duke v. fsu game ends so i'm not so emotional (one way or the other) so i guess the rivalry hasn't fizzled out all together!!
we have agreed to stay neutral around the kids so they can make up their own mind one day. it helps that eli has already grown out of both the duke and unc onesies we had saved from ava's baby days. he is a long, long boy!! and i must say that it's fun to dress him in blue (no matter the shade) after all the suspense of not knowing his sex.
below is our effort for neutrality. it just sounds....wrong!! :)
